During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to blackouts in extensive areas of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were injured while inhabitants in the city's east were experienced blackouts and dealt with problems to water systems, as stated by local authorities.

Meanwhile, a minor was killed in a separate Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, according to area administrators.

Moscow has intensified strikes on electrical systems over recent weeks, while officials has called for "concrete actions" from allies to exert influence on Moscow.

He said that 450 drones and more than 30 projectiles targeted the country's power systems, describing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were laboring to restore power.

A series of attacks struck power facilities and residential structures in Kyiv.

Local officials said the metropolitan region came under significant strikes overnight. A seven-year-old child lost their life and multiple civilians were injured.

The attacks come after periods of bombing campaigns in the region, sections of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

The entire country is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to detect.

National leaders told the media that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already impacting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated energy workers and authorities were bracing for additional strikes.
